Our on-road test lab measures tyre performance at any road surface and almost any condition. The test trailer is completely designed to measure the forces and moments that arise when placing a tyre on the road in various situations. By default, two towers are mounted. On one side there is a car tyre measurement setup, on the other side, there is a motorcycle tyre measurement setup, with the possibility to measure tyres at camber angles up to 70 degrees.
Test track or customer premises
Measuring tyres with our tyre test trailer is usually performed at proving grounds ATP in Germany or IDIADA in Spain, but can be conducted at any other test track. Furthermore we can facilitate in measuring tyres at an indoor facility of the customer’s choice. We deliver measurement data in a standardized format (TYDEX). Besides gathering the input for our tyre fitting tool and subsequently our tyre models, the measurement facilities are also used for validation and benchmarking studies.
The TASS Tire testing team knows how to test tyres using a unique, in-house built, driving laboratory. The vehicle is completely designed to measure the forces and moments that arise when placing a tyre on the road in various situations. In the new tyre test truck, it is now possible to replace the measurement towers in the centre of the trailer allowing special measuring setups to be mounted. By default, two towers are mounted. On one side there is a car tyre measurement setup, on the other side, there is a newly developed motorcycle tyre measurement setup, with the possibility to measure tyres at camber angles up to 70 degrees. Measuring tyres with our tyre test trailer is usually performed at proving grounds ATP in Germany or IDIADA in Spain, but can be done on any other testtrack if desired by the customer.
