PreScan is a mature and wide-spread simulation platform for virtual development and validation of active safety and (Highly) Automated Driving systems. PreScan offers high-fidelity physics-based simulation models of all sensors relevant for automated driving (such as camera, radar, lidar, infrared, ultrasonic and DSRC).
To strengthen the team, TASS International has an immediate opening for an experienced software engineer to create new functionality for the PreScan simulation platform. The role requires affinity with physics and/or mathematics in order to be able to understand the problem domain and to translate this into good and robust software.
Required Background & Education:
Education level: MSc or BSc degree in Computer Science or Technical Informatics.
Thorough understanding of Object Orientation and related topics such as design patterns.
Demonstrable control of the programming languages/libraries C++, C#, Python, BOOST and STL.
Understanding of configuration management tools such as SVN and Mercurial.
Understanding of bug reporting systems. Working experience with the Atlassian toolsuite (Jira) is a plus.
Experience with OpenGL, OpenCL, CUDA, GPU Computing is a plus.
Knowledge and control of UML for architecture and design purposes is a plus.
Experience with Agile development is a plus.
Company experience of 3 years or more is a plus.
