PreScan is a mature and wide-spread simulation platform for virtual development and validation of active safety and (Highly) Automated Driving systems. PreScan offers high-fidelity physics-based simulation models of all sensors relevant for automated driving (such as camera, radar, lidar, infrared, ultrasone and DSRC). The newest sensor suite which is currently under development is based on ray tracing (aka path tracing). To strengthen the team, TASS International has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer Ray Trace Technology who will have the following responsibilities:
Keeping abreast of and adds the state-of-the-art ray tracing technologies to PreScan.
Working closely with other developers on the same sensor technology to keep in synch in time and functionality.
Being a skilled Software Engineer using his/her mature Object Oriented (OO) development skills.
Having a keen eye for maintenance and extension of the software development environment to increase productivity and quality of the produced software.
Required Background & Education:
Education level: MSc or BSc >5yrs experience in Technical Informatics, Physics, Computer Graphics.
Thorough knowledge of the use of raytracing technology for sensor modelling, including Physics Based Shading Models and BSDF microfacet theory.
Good control of OpenGL, OpenCL, Nvidia CUDA, Nvidia Optix and Shader Programming.
Good control of OO design and implementation using languages like C++, C#, Python and STL.
Version Control tools such as Mercurial, Subversion.
Pre: knowledge and control of UML for architecture and design purposes.
Pre: working both under Linux and Windows.
Pre: Working experience with the Atlassian toolsuite (i.e. Jira Agile, …)
